In view of the Singapore Government's
Housing & Development Board (HDB) aim to create a vibrant
city living lifestyle, the
Pinnacle@Duxton
project was conceived.
Consisting of 1848 apartments , the
integrated housing development project stands at 50
storeys with all its 7 blocks linked together by two
levels of skybridges and a complex facade layout where bay
windows, ledges and balconies were present at irregular
intervals and locations.
Using a simple & efficient construction
method of precast elements, the target was to build a
storey in 8 days.
Ehub was selected to provide a
safe & comprehensive crane-climbing working platform solution that can
meet with the desired cycle with the limited amount of
manpower and machinery. One key challenge was to
overcome and slide past the protruding facade elements
which extends up to 800mm from the wall surface.
Our solution was to apply our Drag-N-Drop
RailScaf system with 3
levels of working platforms and spans over 7.0m with a
custom built retractable platform. These working platform
can hinge and roll back effortlessly so as to glide past
the protruding facades. In all, 196 nos of
RailScaf units were
assembled, fixed and used in all 7 blocks, to the
satisfaction of both the client and owner.
